Indian Echo Caverns 2nd Annual Homeschool Days will be held on Monday November 11, 2019 from 9:00am-1:00pm. Our “Down on the Farm Day” is an exclusive program just for our homeschoolers. The day will consist of a 20 minute lantern tour, followed by an educational program, wagon ride, storytelling, and corn cannon.
The Lantern Tour will be conducted completely in the dark, except for the lanterns we will supply. You can be explorers for the day, as you listen to stories of old that very few have ever heard.
Each student will partake in a “Down on the Farm Program”. They will grow and take home their very own plant. This program will be conducted by Marann Jones, who is well known for her program “Gardening with the Children”. Program is suitable for all ages.
Take an old fashioned wagon ride around the caverns grounds. Ride is 20 minutes in length. (Depending on weather)
Listen to and act out stories using our own petting barnyard animals. Stories told by Esther Jones, author of Tedenbarr of Have Lath.
Each student will get a chance to shoot our newest attraction, the Corn Cannon. Shoot at targets or see who can shoot their corn ear the farthest. Fun for all ages!
In between tours you can also visit our friends in the Petting Barnyard. The alpacas, chickens, turkey and goats can be hand fed. Please bring your cameras with you.
We will also take a break for lunch. Please bring a packed lunch or take advantage of our lunch options. Subway 6” sub, chocolate chip cookie, chips and bottle of water.
Deadline for registration is Monday November 4, 2019. No Refunds.
